It’s not often you see the yellow jersey lead out the sprint!
These transition stage are a bit dull, but the Tour organisers at lead have tried to create a bit of interest and in fact they are pretty good to watch. Usually the yellow jersey has a quiet day, but not in Team Sky. Once Cavendish was distanced on the final climb, I thought they would sit up, but they all seemed happy to control the race and as Wiggins said in the interview with Ned, they were controlling to help Cav get back up. With those wins it was never going to happen, so plan B and Eddie springs in with a lead out from Wiggins. A real shame he hadn’t the speed, despite launching early.
Sagan looks like the Green Jersey is his, Griepel looks like he’s pretty hard to beat. Im just hoping Cav is still riding into his form, will win on the Champs Eleyses and then go on to be Olympic champion.
We’ll see.
