Considering the possibility of a slip up, it was a bit of an uneventful stage today for GC, but maybe that’s because Sky controlled the race so well. iTV set up the possibility of a downhill attack very well with Chris Boardmans feature on effective descending. As I watched it, the only other thought was Wiggo had binned it!
Nibali, you are a twat is the other feeling I had. Whining that the other GC contenders didn’t attack with you? And what if they had? Would you be any better off? The comments at the start around no respect for wiggins isn’t going to get you allies in the peloton – better to be smart.
Tomorrow looks like the biggest test for Sky so far. It will be hard to control the race on such big climbs, but hopefully Wiggo has the legs.
Finally, Great ride by Tommy V to win possibly the slowest sprint in history, but i have to admit to cheering Jens on. If only the old man could have bought in a stage win.
