Day three and a return to the ITV highlights programme.
A good effort chaps at padding out a fairly uneventful flat sprinters stage. Happiness all around with a victory from Cav. Pressure certainly off him now, stage win in the rainbow jersey – can it get any better than that.
Particularly enjoyed the Ned and Chris interlude on the lead out man. Ned’s jaunty simpleton helmet look a real winner, as was Chris slipping him a fiver at the end.
Phil and Paul debating the merits of a recumbent, and did u hear correctly ? A Turbo powered wheelchair?!?!?
Winners – Cavendish and team sky, proving he can win without a lead out.
Losers – Kittel and his toilet troubles. He looked ill.
